The short version. Patron helps barbers, stylists, nail techs, and other service pros remember every client. We collect only what we need to write your client notes, we strip out sensitive details before storing anything, audio is deleted as soon as your notes are made, and we never sell your data. Ever.
1. Who we are
Patron is built by a small team of people from a big tech company who are passionate about small businesses. Contact: support@getpatron.ai.
2. What we collect
From you (the business owner)
- Account info: your name, email, and profile photo from Google Sign-In or Sign in with Apple.
- Access to your booking software (e.g. Square): your bookings, customer info, and business details — only if you choose to connect it.
- Notes and edits: any freeform notes you type into a session.
From your clients (only when you record a session)
- Audio: the recording itself. It exists only long enough to be turned into notes — once your notes are ready, the audio is deleted immediately. If something goes wrong and the notes fail, we keep the audio for up to 7 days so you can retry, then it's deleted automatically either way.
- Transcript: a text version of what was said. Sensitive details — phone numbers, emails, addresses, payment info, ID numbers — are removed before anything is stored. The raw transcript is automatically erased after 60 days; only your finished notes stay.
- Notes: short summaries of the service and conversation. These are the point of the product — they're kept until you delete them.
- Booking and customer data: for clients that come from your booking software, we sync their record (name, photo if available, email, phone, appointment history).
About session recording
You are responsible for obtaining client consent before recording. The app does not provide an in-app consent prompt — that's the service provider's responsibility per local law.
3. Who we share data with
No one buys your data — not from us, not ever. A small number of trusted service providers process data on our behalf, under contract, only to make Patron work:
- AI services that turn audio into transcripts and transcripts into notes.
- An email service that delivers your client reminders.
- Cloud hosting that runs the app and stores your notes securely.
- Google or Apple — only to verify your sign-in.
- Your booking software (like Square) — only if you choose to connect it.
4. How long we keep it
- Audio: deleted immediately once your notes are ready; kept at most 7 days if a retry is needed.
- Raw transcripts: erased automatically after 60 days.
- Notes: until you delete them or close your account.
- Booking data: kept in sync with your booking software; removed when you disconnect or close your account.
- Account data: until you ask us to delete it.
5. Your rights
You can:
- Delete an individual session and everything it produced.
- Disconnect Square (or any other booking software) from the Account screen.
- Email support@getpatron.ai to delete your account and all associated data within 30 days.
- Export your data on request.
6. Security
Your data is encrypted both while it travels and where it's stored. The keys that link Patron to your booking software are locked down the same way. And sensitive personal details are automatically removed before anything is saved.

7. Children
Patron is for licensed service providers and is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
8. Changes
If we change this policy materially we'll update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
